From the laziness that is content with half truths,
From the arrogance that thinks it knows all truth,

 - Milbank Report: Evidence-Based Maternity Care: What It Is and What It...
Oct 10, 8:45am (1 review) pregnancy, birth http://www.childbirthconnection.org/arti...- From the page: "Childbearing women need to understand that maternity care that is routinely available often is not in the best interest of themselves and their babies. Pregnant women have the right and responsibility to become informed and make wise choices â€" for example, their choice of caregiver, birth setting and specific procedures, drugs and tests. Becoming informed and taking responsibility can be a big task â€" and can have very big pay-offs."

Sep 27, 7:51pm (1 review) humor http://www.thecowgoddess.com/2008/09/25/...- Love this comic website, and usually Hathor is going on about breastfeeding and attachment parenting and homebirth, )which I love her for) but today she is on Mountaintop Removal mining, a pet peeve of mine, living in WV where coal is King and 60 years of democratic politics have left us WV at the bottom of the financial barrel... and environmentally damaged...

Sep 27, 6:45pm (1 review) birth http://tatia.org/- Cytotec is commonly used to induce labor, but it is not approved for use in this manner by the FDA or anyone else but obstetric tradition. Women and babies DIE from this. Just because it is routine use does not make it safe or wise. Please read this site and be informed before allowing someone to induce your labor with this drug(or other nonnatural methods.
Because misoprostol ("miso," "Cytotec") is being used more and more--without informed consent and without being FDA-approved for use on pregnant women, a mother, Maddy Oden--who lost her daughter and grand-daughter because of this drug--has developed this Web site for us all.
Maddy started the Tatia Oden French Memorial Foundation after her daughter, Tatia, and Tatia's daughter, Zorah, died after being given Cytotec. The foundation is dedicated to empowering woman, specifically in the area of childbirth.

Super drugs have bred super bugs that are resistant to antibiotics. Whoever has heard of pneumonia infection resulting in a triple amputation and blindness? Note the key sentence: "Doctors administered medication but it only made things worse."
 - The Brewer Pregnancy Diet
Sep 12, 3:44pm (1 review) health, prenancy http://home.mindspring.com/~djsnjones/- I learned about the Brewer Diet for Pregnancy from Tom Brewer's books, and from chatting with him many times on the phone. He was a wonderful man who helped pregnant women and their babies and saved many lives, I am sure. As midwives, we see the result of his work in the absence of preeclamsia and toxemia in our practices among women who follow his nutritional advice. This is another site explaining the principles.

Sep 9, 7:28pm (1 review) subculture, internet, blogs, video, bloggers http://tcs.cybertipline.com/psa/Everyone...- I am so tired of the whole scene of people blogging every little detail about their personal lives online. It strikes me as egocentric dreams that everyone is going to find you fascinating. But, besides it being incredibly boring and time wasting, this video shows a good reason why so many people should learn to keep their personal lives personal.
