- Belly dance is also called the birth dance, because the movements help to keep the pelvic in perfect alignment, and align the baby for the perfect birthing posture. This dance is great prenatally for toning, and dealing with stretching the round ligaments and keeping the SI joints comfortable. Belly dance is great during labor to bring the baby down and correct malpositions. This is a beautiful dancer, full of life. enjoy!
