"Tocology" is derived from the Greek tokos, meaning "childbirth," and refers to the practice of obstetrics or midwifery."
Too funny that the OBs need to ridicule the requirements for the CPM certification, which any educated person agrees are equal in difficulty to other professional credentials... Maybe next year I'll buy a yellow pages ad myself, if our local midwifery group can pass legislation in my home state.
